The cine-concerts are an activity that allows Anilupa to expand its programming and participation in cultural events beyond its headquarters. On the other hand, they address the need to explore other ways of promoting and showcasing some animated films created by participants in its animation workshops.
Between 2008 and 2025, CLIA Anilupa had the opportunity to participate in various initiatives promoted by the Educational Service of Casa da Música, within the framework of cine-concert productions.
Vejam Bem - 2024 and 2025
As part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the April 25th Revolution, Casa da Música's Educational Service presented the show Vejam Bem in February 2024 and 2025. Four films produced by Anilupa, created by children and young participants, were screened and accompanied by live music: Estendal, A dança das máscaras, O tempo escondido no corpo de uma escola and O mural da liberdade.
Concert for All: A Joint Creation Between the Casa da Música Gamelan Ensemble and ANILUPA - 2017
As part of the ICA project Também Nós led by Anilupa and integrated into the “Concert for All” event organized by Casa da Música's Educational Service, an extended version of the film Factory 365 was screened with live music. This work was the result of an artistic collaboration between students from the Porto Professional School of Psychosocial Technology and the Casa da Música Gamelan Ensemble.
Histórias do Norte - 2008
Within the scope of the Histórias do Norte project, promoted by Casa da Música, a musical and cinematic project was developed involving students from the Óscar da Silva Music School. This work drew inspiration from the stories of Hans Christian Andersen, where a dialogue between live images and original musical interpretation was established.
Fantasia sobre Fantasia - 2010
In this project, two films were created: Pedaços de uma noite de sonho azul and Bibó Porto. Their narrative and creative dynamics stemmed from the analysis of two musical pieces by Tchaikovsky: Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Waltz of the Flowers, both part of the eight works featured in the animated film Fantasia, produced in 1940 by Walt Disney.Children from the Matosinhos Child Center and students from two classes at EB1/JI schools in Torrinha and Bandeirinha participated in this process. These films were included in the concert Fantasia sobre Fantasia, held at Casa da Música, where the Porto Casa da Música Symphony Orchestra performed some of the musical works from Disney's Fantasia, accompanied by animated films conceived by various institutions and artists.
Instant Soundtracks at Casa da Música - 2013
Under the musical direction of Philippe Martin, who led the Factor E orchestra, five films created as part of ANILUPA's animation workshops were screened. In this concert, the music was performed without scores, relying entirely on improvisation, reacting to the films being projected. The soundtracks evolved through the Soundpainting technique, a musical communication method based on gestural conventions. The films shown were: O parto, O cais, Reflexos, Transformações, and O jardim transparente.
