As part of the CINANIMA – Espinho International Animation Film Festival, Anilupa presented the exhibition “Anilupa Workshops – Art and Cinema at School,” held from November 9 to 24, 2024, at the Salão Nobre of Piscina Solário Atlântico.
The exhibition aimed to unveil the behind-the-scenes process of film workshops conducted in school settings by Anilupa—a studio established in 1990 by the Associação de Ludotecas do Porto, dedicated to engaging non-professional filmmakers, including children, young people, and adults, in every stage of creating animated films.
Visitors had access to a selection of artistic works created by students from various schools, including drawings, characters, and models, as well as documentaries showcasing the filmmaking process. The exhibition highlighted the diversity of techniques and materials used, demonstrating the integration of different artistic disciplines within the language of animated cinema.
The exhibition was very well received by visitors, who left comments praising the creativity and educational value of the works presented. Over the 15 days it was open to the public, the exhibition attracted more than 2,500 visitors, including school groups, other organized groups, and members of the general public.
